WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired by God. All 66 books of the Old and New Testaments written are free of errors and stands as our ultimate authority. The Bible provides the fundamental principal and guidance to our life.
(2 Tim 3:16–17; 2 Pet 1:20–21; Prov 30:5; Matt 5:18; Isa 40:8; Ps 119:105; Josh 1:8; Matt 4:4)
We believe there is one true and living God. He is a spiritual and relational Being who's also the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe. God is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God has no beginning, He was, and is, and will forever be in existence. God revealed Himself to us through the Holy Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe God the Father is the eternal, all powerful, all knowing, all loving, all wise Creator of heaven and earth. He is sovereign over all things, perfectly holy, just, merciful, and loving. He works all things according to the purpose of His will for His glory and our good.
(Gen 1:1, 1 Cor 8:6, Ps 115:3, Ps 147:5, Isa 6:3, Deut 32:4, Ps 103:8, 1 Jn 3:1, Jn 1:12, Matt 28:19)
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven. He is the only mediator between God and man, the Savior of the world, and will return to judge the living and the dead and establish His eternal Kingdom.
(Jn 1:14, Col 2:9, Matt 1:23, Heb 4:15, 1 Pet 2:24, Rom 5:8, 1 Cor 15:3–4, Acts 1:9–11, 1 Tim 2:5)
We believe the Holy Spirit is not merely a force or a power but a distinct Person who possesses all of the attributes and deity of God. He was sent by the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized and adopted into the family of God. He indwells, illuminates, guides, equips, and empowers believers to a life of Holiness.
(Gen 1:2, Jn 14:16–17, Jn 16:13–14, Acts 1:8, Rom 8:9, 1 Cor 3:16, 1 Cor 6:19, Tit 3:5, Gal 5:22–23)
We believe man is the crowning work of God's creation, directly made by God in His own image, both male and female, for the ultimate purpose of bringing Him glory. Sin entered the world through Adam's disobedience and man lost his innocence, incurred the penalty of spiritual and physical death, and was subject to God's wrath. Because of Adam's sin, all men with the exception of Jesus Christ are thus sinners by nature, by choice, morally corrupt and enslaved to sin, utterly incapable to choose or do that which is acceptable to God apart from divine grace.
(Gen 1:26–27; Gen 2:7; Gen 3:6–7; Rom 5:12; Rom 3:10-18, 23; Eph 2:3; Eph 2:1–5; 1 Pet 2:22)
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.
Grace Alone — Entirely a free gift from God by His mercy and love, not something we earn or deserve.
Faith Alone — Through our trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ, not by our works.
Jesus Christ Alone — Only through His life, death, and resurrection are we forgiven, restored to a right relationship with God, adopted into His family, and given the promise of eternal life.
(Eph 2:8–9, Tit 3:5, Rom 3:28, Rom 3:23, Rom 6:23, Gal 2:16, Jn 14:6, Acts 4:12, 2 Cor 5:21, Rom 10:9–10)
We believe that the church is the Body of Christ, it is not just a building, but the gathering of believers. The Church serves to glorify God by worshipping Him, proclaiming the Gospel, serving our neighbors, making disciples, and advancing His Kingdom. It is commanded in the New Testament to join a local church. We affirm that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, and that all who are united with Him by faith are members of His Body.
(Rom. 12:4–5; Heb. 10:24–25; Eph. 5:23; Acts 2:42–47; Col. 1:18; Gal. 3:26–28; 1 Cor. 12:13)
We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ at the end of the age. He will judge both the living and the dead and will make all things new. At His return, the dead in Christ will be raised, and He will judge all people in righteousness. The unrighteous will suffer eternal separation from God in hell, while the righteous will receive their reward and enjoy everlasting life in the presence of God in the new heavens and the new earth.
(Acts 1:11; Matt. 16:27; Acts 10:42; Rev. 21:1, 5; 1 Thess. 4:16; Acts 17:31; 2 Thess. 1:9; Phil. 3:20–21; 2 Pet. 3:13)
